On the first day, the task was to create our first poster idea. My first idea consisted focused on coral bleaching with stickers pealing off to reveal colourless coral underneath. I utilised the medium of a fine line marker. The target audience of the poster is young people particularly students in primary and secondary school.

On the second day, the task was to create a second poster idea. My second poster idea built off of the first, with a focus on coral bleaching. The poster depicted coral bleached to spell toxic and a boat of tourists travelling through the reef. The poster aimed to demonstrate environmental damage and the impact of poor corporate decisions. I used the same medium of a fine line marker.

On the fourth day, the task was to create a final poster with colour technique. I used the media of water colours and a fine line marker. The idea for the final poster was generated by poster idea three and was further developed with colour and shading. I used the water colour as it is water based, like the sea, and gives off the desirable texture and layers which brought depth to the poster. The fine line marker helped defined the coral and stands out against the white background in the middle. I utilised negative and positive space to direct interest and engagement.

On the fifth day of week 4, we were tasked with creating a final poster made from collage. I utilised the media of collage through magazine scraps and glue. The collage poster followed the same ideology of the final concept poster, however, shown in a different medium. The goal of the collage poster was sustainability, to find a new purpose for magazine scraps instead of being discarded.
